Current interests

Meetings begin with informal general discussion, Q & A plus reports on interesting stocks which are usually followed by a guest speaker. Invited presenters include Internet brokers, stock market data providers, financial charting & accounting programmers, technical analysts and officers from ASIC, the Australian Shareholders Association and the Australian Stock Exchange.
Stock market competitions are also a regular feature, adding interest and some light-hearted fun to the monthly meetings. Visitors are always welcome.

SIG objectives

The Stocks and Shares Special Interest Group (Stock SIG) is an enthusiastic group of investors dedicated to the enjoyment, education and benefit of its members in the use and evaluation of computers and software as an aid to their investing. Members range from novices to seasoned traders, all interested in learning and keeping abreast of the ever evolving technologies of online trading and investing.
This SIG is set up to cater for all those whose interests are buying, owning, selling or just contemplating Stocks and Shares. Use your computer to select stocks, trade on-line and keep track of all your investments. It's quicker, cheaper and easier. We will show you how.
